Shipping charges lowered.

Good news! We've reduced the shipping charges to £9.99. It's never been a better time to treat yourself to some fine artisan cider.

Ben Crossman's Tremlett's Bitter and Home Orchard sold out.

Sad to say that Ben Crossman has sold out of two of his finest ciders, the single varietal Tremlett's Bitter, along with his popular Home Orchard.

I'm currently not sure whether the Tremlett's Bitter will be back on again, but the Home Orchard should be back within the next few months.

CiderPunk is pleased to announce that we have signed up Richard Wilcox to our band of producers, and you will shortly be able to order his ciders from the CiderPunk shop, to be delivered in our long-life bag-in-box system to your door.

Richard has truly refined the art of cider making. He particularly seems to love blending, and we were treated to an hour with him sampling all his special varieties that he makes mainly for his own enjoyment.

We're Website of the Week on YourWebsiteReviewed.co.uk!

Hooray! We got a fantastic review from YourWebsiteReviewed.co.uk. They awarded us "Website of the Week" which is a great achievement for us. I especially loved this comment:

This website is almost as refreshing as a pint of the cloudy stuff itself.

I'm so proud! :-) They awarded us an impressive 4 out of 5 rating.

James Crowden's "Ciderland" wins book award.

According to booktrade.info, "Ciderland" by James Crowden has won the 2008 André Simon Book Award in the Drink category. James was featured on Radio 4's Food programme, and it was from there that I first learned that the "Champagne" method of wine production was actually first invented in the West Country, to create sparkling cider.

An Interesting Drop: Richard Wilcox

Last weekend I took a wrong turning driving to Roger Wilkins' farm. In the end I never reached Roger's. Instead I ended up just outside Shipham at Richard Wilcox's farm, having been attracted in by a new sign proclaiming farmhouse cider. Of course I had to stop and so ventured in to find the farmer.

West Croft's new dry blend is great!

Visited John Harris of West Croft cider on Saturday, he was having quite a busy day, but he took time out to let me test his new dry blend. I couldn't help exclaiming how good it was. "I know it is," he grinned immodestly.
